This song, “The Light of Peace ”,
was dedicated to Mikako Ikeshima’s exhibition at
the State Guest House, Akasaka Palace, a National Treasure of Japan.
It embodies her heartfelt reflections on the exhibited works and her journey as an artist.
Produced May these lyrics blend into the Earth,
dissolve into the air, ride on the wind, and reach every corner of the world
— so that our planet may become one of peace, free from conflict.
May many people listen, perform, and sing this song,
and may the word “thank you” resonate across the globe, filling the world with love.
『 The Light of Peace 』
Even when I close my eyes, bathed in light, what arises in my heart is love.
Why must we fight and take from one another?
If only we could forgive, accept, and recognize each other beyond nations and religions.
100 years from now, 500 years from now—
may the world we are reborn into be a planet painted in beautiful colors.
A place bathed in warm light, overflowing with peaceful smiles.
If there truly is a heaven, surely it is what everyone longs for.
A world where differences— of country, of faith—are respected and embraced.
May this Earth become a living paradise, a peaceful world overflowing with love, wrapped in a shower of light.
This artwork is painted with words of “Thank You”
from around the world, forming showers of light, flowers, and animals. Thank you,
Merci, Grazie, Gracias, Danke, Obrigado…
Under moonlight or reflected rays, the word “Arigatou” ("Thank You") gently emerges.
Each flower, bird, and butterfly is also formed by these words.
It is a painting that breathes—its appearance shifting with the light.
If each of us begins by saying “thank you” to our own heart and body,
and if every person on Earth could truly love themselves and feel,
“I am happy,” then maybe, in an instant,
the Earth could become a planet where no one needs to take from another—a planet filled with peace.
May you and I both be filled with gratitude.
May the words of “Thank You” purify the land and the air.
And may the world be overflowing with the gentle, healing light of “ Arigatou .”
